Indran Ratnathicam returns to the MIT coaching staff after serving seven seasons as an assistant basketball coach from 1999-2006. His responsibilities range from practice and game preparation, on-the-floor coaching, player development, recruiting, and alumni relations. Prior to becoming a coach, Indran was a four-year player on the MIT basketball team, where he was co-captain of the 1997-98 campaign that finished 18-7 under Head Coach Larry Anderson. Ratnathicam graduated from MIT in 1998, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Since "leaving" MIT, he has pursued a full-time career in technology and business, with work experiences at The Boston Consulting Group, Grove Street Advisors (venture capital/private equity), and two technology startups. He is currently completing a full-time MBA program at the Harvard Business School. Ratnathicam, known as "Indy" to the players and staff, is originally from Vancouver, Wash. |
