Noah Riskin, the 2006 ECAC Coach of the Year, returns for his eighth season as the head coach of MIT's men's gymnastics program. Under his guidance, the Engineers have received three Most Improved Athlete Awards from the ECAC and also sent a trio of athletes to the NCAA National Collegiate Championship qualifier. As an undergraduate, Riskin competed at The Ohio State University with his twin brother Seth. In 1985, Noah tied his brother for the national championship on the parallel bars, finished third in the all-around, and helped the Buckeyes win the team national championship. He was also the school-record holder on the still rings (9.75) and in the all-around (57.90) and co-record holder on the parallel bars (9.80). Riskin lettered all-four years at OSU and the team went 57-10 during his stay. He scored over 9.0 60 times and over 9.5 15 times and averaged 56.2 in the all-around. Riskin was also a member of the US National Team from 1983-85 and competed at the US Olympic Trials in 1988. |
