Noah Riskin Named ECAC Coach of the Year

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Following a seventh-place finish at the ECAC/EIGL Men's Gymnastics Championship, head coach Noah Riskin was chosen the ECAC Coach of the Year while Luis Perez received MIT's second consecutive Co-Most Improved Athlete of the Year Award. The Engineers posted a team-score of 184.5 as the College of William and Mary took the title with a total of 206.125.

Tech continued to showcase its strength on the vault, amassing a score of 33.050. Matthew Heine and Joshua Coblenz led the effort with a pair of 8.35 totals. Brad Sutton contributed an 8.200 as Boris Rasin and Tom Caldwell each received an 8.150. Zach Eisenstat rounded out the scoring with an 8.000. Sutton finished fourth overall in the pommel horse (8.450) and posted a team-high mark in the parallel bars (7.7). Eisenstat led the way in the floor exercise (7.850) while Rasin recorded the best performances for MIT on the still rings (8.000) and the high bar (7.900).

In the individual championships, Sutton placed seventh in the pommel horse with an average score of 8.00. Eisenstat took 10th in the parallel bars with a total of 7.350.
