Joe Silverman Earns Pilgrim League Wrestler of the Week Honors

MIT Standout Defeated No. 1 Wrestler in New England

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - MIT sophomore Joe Silverman was recently named Pilgrim League Wrestler of the Week for his outstanding performance in Saturday's home quad match against Norwich University, Bridgewater State College, and Plymouth State University. Silverman posted a 3-0 record, including a 4-0 decision win over Bridgewater State's James Quinlan, the No. 1 ranked wrestler in New England and seventh-ranked nationally in Division III, at 184 pounds.

Silverman also went 1-1 in Wednesday's tri-match at Roger Williams University. The Cardinal and Gray star now stands at 21-11 on the season.
