MIT's Top Tandem Earns First Conference Award

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The MIT women's tennis team collected its first NEWMAC honor of the season as the No. 1 doubles duo of Leslie Hansen and Mariah Hoover were selected the Doubles Team of the Week.

This past Saturday, Hansen and Hoover collaborated for an 8-1 victory over Natalie Hsiang and Meghan Sloane of Mount Holyoke College. The win helped power the Engineers to a 9-0 team decision and a 2-0 record on the season and in NEWMAC play. In their season opener versus Smith College, Hansen and Hoover shutout their foes, 8-0, en route to an 8-1 team win.
